We know many of you are starting to wonder about library hours over the holiday season. As usual, we’ll be open regular hours in the weeks leading up to Christmas with a few exceptions to make visiting the library easy. You can pick up your own copy of our library hours to post on your fridge at home, or download a copy here.
For the next few weeks, make sure to stop in when we’re open to take part in a few fun activities:
– We have two different I Spy activities for the kids happening December 1-13, and another from December 15 – 30.
– Pick up a Snowflake Making kit between now and December 13th to take home as a fun craft to do during those days when the weather is bad or the kids need a little extra fun.
– A new craft take-home kit will be available from December 15 through to the end of the month while supplies last–hint: it will be a fun thing to put on your tree year after year.
– We’re also hosting a Family Christmas Bingo evening on Thursday, December 18 from 6-7pm. There will be small prizes available so make sure to arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time.
On Christmas Eve morning and New Year’s Eve morning, the library will be open special hours from 9am until noon only. Please make sure to stop in to pick up any items you may need for the holidays, use our printers or WiFi and pick up a puzzle.
While we will be closed for a few extra days here and there, you can still access our digital catalog like Libby and Hoopla with your library card and PIN. If you need some help setting up either app, stop in with your device and we’ll get you sorted.
If you have any questions about holiday closures or any of the activities listed above, please feel free to email us at library@carletonplace.ca or call us at 257-2702.
Happy Holidays!
